The President of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), Prof. Pericles A. Mitkas, attended the opening ceremony of the EPICUR Governance Week 2026, hosted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The event brought together representatives of the universities participating in the European University Alliance EPICUR, as well as members of the wider European academic community. In his address, Prof. Mitkas highlighted the new prospects for the Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), as well as their growing international outlook and cross-border collaborations.

The participation of HAHE in the event reaffirms the Authority’s ongoing commitment to actively contributing  to European higher education policymaking and to supporting initiatives that enhance the quality, international profile and innovation of Greek Universities.
