Dr. Christina Besta, Director General of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE), attended the 112th Hellenic Universities Rectors’ Conference, which took place in Samos under the Presidency of the University of the Aegean (29.6.2026 – 2.7.2026).
During the 2nd Meeting of the Heads of Quality Assurance Units (QAUs), Dr. Besta delivered a presentation entitled “HEIs funding under the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF): Implementing Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning tools”. She focused on the relationship between HEIs funding and the effective implementation of quality assurance policies and long-term development of the Institutions.
Dr. Besta also participated in the proceedings of the 43rd Conference of Vice-Rectors for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Quality Assurance. In her presentation on “Quality Assurance: Feedback and Improvement”, she highlighted how the improvements arising from quality assurance processes are closely aligned with the Institutions' strategy.
